This is the basic level of involvement. It includes materials, and workshops for teachers as well as information for students on potential future in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. Competition is a way to make learning fun and exciting. A series of events open to students at all levels will be used to engage students and let them know they can become scientists or engineers. It is possible to set students up for success in complex learning situations. Sometimes it only takes a little bit of success to equip a student to overcome the fear of failure. Projects will be implemented where students can design experiments, and do real scientific and engineering research.
